Legislative changes started to facilitate the investment process

A new regulation on the Public Procurement in the construction sector will be ready in a month; this has been announced by the Minister of Investment Planning prof. PhD. dipl. arch. Ivan Danov.  Immediately thereafter a new regulation on the Public Procurement in the design will be prepared, said Minister Ivan Danov while attending the Third round table organized by the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria, which this time was entitled "Modernization of Public Procurement".

"These legislative changes aim to establish a system of laws that are working, to ease the investment process, to guarantee maximum transparency, to define clear rules and personal responsibility", said also Minister Ivan Danov.

Construction sector is one of the driving factors of the economy, said Mrs. Daniela Bobeva, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Development, who also participated in the event. She was certain that the legislative changes that have been initiated will lead to reduction of the administrative burden and therefore they are a serious step towards restricting the corruption level in Public Procurement. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed her expectations that until the end of the week The Public Procurement Law will be fully adopted. At this moment 38 paragraphs of the draft law have been adopted by the Bulgarian Parliament. Deputy Prime Minister Daniela Bobeva promised that next week, immediately after the Public Procurement Law will be adopted, an operative working group on its implementation will be established.
